Teaching

An active private teacher, Mansi has taught private lessons since 2010. She was also involved in UNC’s music outreach program, Musical Empowerment, through which she gave free lessons to students from low-income families.

Mansi teaches all ages and skill levels, and believes in a holistic, well-rounded, and culturally inclusive approach to music-making. With her emphasis on building strong fundamentals in breathing, technique, aural skills, and music appreciation, her students are prepared to play everything from folk songs to solo repertoire and audition excerpts. Mansi strongly believes in music as a vehicle for self-expression, and enjoys working with her students to build confidence, good habits, and find their own voices through their music!

It’s been almost one year since my middle schooler started flute lessons with Mansi. He joined at an intermediate level and has been making great progress. Mansi is very well trained and has a great professional network.

She is always encouraging as well as presenting opportunities to her students to attend concerts outside to expand and develop their music acumen. Mansi worked with us to recognize our child’s goals and charted out a curriculum accordingly. A polite and soft-spoken young musician ; we wish her all the very best in all her future endeavors!
